Nickell Morgan is the DIY creator behind Simply Handmade, where small spaces, big ideas, and real-life challenges inspire some seriously clever transformations.

Her journey began in a two-bedroom New York City apartment shared with her family of six, where every square foot had to earn its keep. What started as a need for better storage, smarter layouts, and a little more personality grew into a passion for woodworking, DIY, and creating beautiful spaces that work for the people living in them.

From renter-friendly upgrades to homeownership and larger renovations, Nickell brings a resourceful, hands-on approach to every project. But Nickell's story extends well beyond home improvement. After her oldest son, Donald, was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, she founded DIY for a Cure, channeling her family's experience into a mission to support others facing childhood cancer.
